Hiya Barry, Kari, Bill and Joel. Caught you all again for the umpteenth time at Wild Wings the weekend before last (6/14/08), and as with every other time, I came away filled with inspiration and joy. As a listener, it’s always mind blowing, but also as a bass player, I gotta say to Joel: You have GOT the stuff dude! I really appreciate other bassists that I can watch and take something home from. Man, I need to bring a bigger bucket the next time I catch you, my friend.

Barry you are awesome. In 1996 you played at the Derby on Nesbit Ferry and I was in the back playing pool. I heard some great songs and went out front to see who was playing....it was you. My gosh what a sound. I looked around and every mouth in the club was wide open in disbelief. I came to you after your set and we sat at the bar and I told you about a divorce I was going through and you played Feel A Pain and told me about you're writing it. I think you are incredible. Barry, I have so say I am completely jealous of you!!! You have the most impressive guitar/shirt collections… EVER! You play completely awesome! And you have one of the grooviest websites on the interweb! Seriously..I’ve seen you blow the roof off of Wild Wings! And as an novice player I am inspired and awed by your abilities and showmanship! After probably 15 years, I saw you again tonight at Nik's Place. Man, you are as great, if not better, than I remember you from years ago. Maybe I'm just getting old and out of touch, because Atlanta's music scene just doesn't seem to be what it once was. But tonight, you and your current lineup reminded me of how great local music can be. I couldn't be happier after re-discovering your talent. You truly are an Atlanta treasure!
